Cranio Suisse® is the professional association of craniosacral therapists in Switzerland and is committed to the professionalization of the profession and the highest quality standards. The association supports over 1,300 active members with valuable services, information and advice, and represents their interests in the public sphere.
Challenges
As part of its quality assurance program, Cranio Suisse® requires its members to complete regular continuing education courses. Until now, proof of these courses had to be printed out and submitted by mail every two years. Checking these numerous submitted documents proved extremely time-consuming: all documents had to be organized, manually reviewed, entered into the CRM system, and confirmed via email. This process was not only time-consuming but also tied up considerable personnel resources and proved difficult to scale with an increasing membership. Furthermore, there were stringent requirements regarding data protection and the integrity of sensitive member data.
Against this backdrop, Cranio Suisse® sought a solution that would make the continuing education verification process more efficient, digital, and automated, without compromising data security.
Our Solution & Approach
Together with Cranio Suisse®, nowtec solutions developed an innovative, AI-powered platform that transformed this workflow:
- Digital Submission: Members now easily upload their certificates directly through a secure, newly developed member portal.
- Document Recognition: Using Tesseract OCR, a leading open-source optical character recognition tool, all submitted documents, no matter the format or language, are automatically scanned and key information extracted.
- AI Integration: A dedicated, private Large Language Model (LLM) API (Ollama) analyzes the extracted information, reviews content for compliance, and flags any issues. With each cycle, the AI learns from feedback, continuously improving its accuracy.
Automated Workflow: The intelligent system evaluates all submissions according to established criteria, logs results in the CRM, and automatically highlights missing or invalid entries for follow-up.
